4 (GREAT) REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD WAIT ON GOD

Did God give you a dream, a vision, or a promise for your life, but years have gone by and you're still waiting?  It can be really frustrating and discouraging, wondering why on earth it hasn’t yet come to pass.

If that is you, here are 4 things you should know, according to Habakkuk (2:3).

Every vision has a specific timing. This means God has already set the exact moment when the dream or vision will come true. Trying to rush it before its time will only lead to frustration and could even hinder its fulfillment. If you try to speed up God’s plan, it might work against you. It's better to trust in God's timing and patiently wait for His plan to unfold.

The vision shows the end result. Often, God will give you a glimpse of what the final outcome will be, but He typically doesn’t reveal all the steps or processes in between—the preparation or testing that leads to that outcome. Although it might seem easier to skip the process, it's crucial for your growth and readiness to receive what God has in store for you.

But there is good news!

The vision will definitely come true. When things take longer than expected, it's natural to doubt and feel discouraged. Yet, if the vision truly comes from God, you can be confident that His promises will be fulfilled, regardless of how much time has passed.

The vision will not be delayed. You need to know…that you know...that you know that God’s plan for your life will not be postponed or delayed (not one minute) past it’s set time.  Isaiah 60:22 says, "When the time is right, I the Lord will make it happen." Nothing can stop His perfect timing from unfolding as it pertains to what He has promised you.

So what should your response be?  Habakkuk says to “wait patiently.”  God’s plan in God’s way at God’s right time is worth the wait.

God has a specific timing for everything He has planned for you. Trust His timing, embrace the process, and hold onto the assurance that what He has promised will surely come to pass.
